Prepare and maintain religious accouterments, facilities, and equipment

Organize, train, supervise, and coordinate with local churches to support Law Enforcememt Chaplaincy

Prepare and maintain public relations materials and professional information resources concerning the Chaplaincy program
-
Obtain, operate, and maintain multimedia systems
-
Identify and coordinate requirements for religious observances with medical and mortuary affairs personnel
-
Safeguard religious offerings
-
Manage and implement support of pastoral care
-
Coordinate pastoral care requirements and assess support needs
-
Formulate plans and prioritize the use of all available resources

Provide:

Apply knowledge of religious cultures, suicide and crisis intervention, and critical incident stress management to support chaplain emergency ministrations

Respond to crash sites, hostage situations, casualty collection points, evacuation and deployment centers, and areas of need to support law enforcement responders

Protect privileged communication and confidentiality

Coordinate support requirements for chaplain counseling with medical and mortuary affairs personnel

Coordinate, prepare, and present religious customs and culture briefings

Publicize availability of chaplain professional services to Sheriff's Office personnel

Coordinate and develop stewardship and social out reach activities appropriate to host communities

Coordinate Chaplain Service activities with other law enforcement and military organizations
-
Manage and implement processes which assist other chaplains in giving advice to their Law Enforcement leadership

Provide professional advice to Law Enforcement personnel regarding spiritual, religious, ethical and moral issues
-
Interpret and implement Chaplain Service policies, responsibilities and procedures inherent to the free exercise of religion

Assist in resolving accommodation of religious practice issues in the local correctional facility(ies)
-
Manage the Chaplain service budget, resources and support systems
