Our Vision

To support and guide chaplains who provide spiritual support to law enforcement throughout the North West.

To promote and coordinate a continuum of chaplain services by supporting law enforcement agencies with no chaplain, as well as those that already provide chaplain services.

To provide chaplains with fellowship and support wherever and whenever it is needed.

To provide law enforcement agencies with PKNW administrative support when needed, enabling chaplains to focus on the spiritual well being of the people they minister to.

To support Jail Chaplains in meeting the spiritual needs of inmates through a ministry that includes spiritual guidance, personal development and pastoral care, while facilitating all religious faiths within the policies and guidelines established by law and by the individual correctional facility.

To provide standards and guidelines for the recruitment, training and certification of chaplains in every law enforcement agency throughout the North West, to ensure that Chaplains are:

  • Licensed and Ordained / Endorsed by the PKNW
  • Highly motivated and spiritually mature men and women
  • Well trained
  • Qualified to meet the spiritual needs of law enforcement staff and the inmates in their local correctional facilities

The PKNW is fully committed to achieving our vision.
